Dynamic QR code frequently asked questions

The practical details behind a small square with a flexible destination.

Is creating and editing free?

Yes. Core generation, editing, scanning, PNG and SVG downloads are free. There is no edit-count cap or automatic QR expiry. Actual hosting capacity and abuse-prevention limits apply.

Does the image change when I edit?

No. The image encodes the permanent public URL. The server reads the latest saved destination when that URL is requested. A tab already open at an old destination stays there; scan the original QR again to test an update.

What happens when a destination is removed?

The QR URL remains reserved and shows a paused page without advertising. Add a new valid destination, save it, and resume the code when ready.

Can I recover a lost guest management link?

The service stores only its credential hash. It cannot reconstruct the private link. Save a copy or recovery file before leaving. An optional account can claim a code while you still possess the credential.

Do QR scans have analytics?

The application does not store a per-scan history or display scan counters. Cloudflare still processes the requests needed to provide hosting and security.

Is my destination guaranteed safe?

No. URL validation rejects unsupported and obviously private destinations, but cannot establish the safety of a public website. Preview links, check domains, and report suspicious codes.
